Henna has been used for thousands of years across South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa as a symbol of beauty, ritual, and cultural connection. In this class, we’ll begin by exploring the history and cultural significance of henna, learning how it has carried meaning through traditions and celebrations. From there, you’ll be introduced to the basic building blocks of henna design, starting with simple shapes and patterns that layer together into more intricate motifs. By practicing mandalas and other foundational elements, you’ll discover how to create designs that honor traditional aesthetics while still reflecting your own unique style.
