Reglet, quoin, frisket, tympan: what language is this? Letterpress! We’ll learn our way around the shop, explore the type and image collection, and learn to operate 2 of our 3 letterpresses. Each student will leave class with a small edition of improvised letterpress posters. All materials provided.
Nicholas August Oberon is a designer and printmaker from Richmond, VA, where he lives by the woods with his beloved partner Lee and their beloved cat Venus. He works in book design, poster making, and paper sculpture, and he enjoys artistic experimentation, medium exploration, and the transformative power of a good honest try.
