


Intro to Etching
Sunday 9/14, 10AM-4PM
Instructor: Kristen Andes
This class will explore the basics of the etching process- from preparing your plate to creating the printed image. Everyone will work on a single plate etching using hard ground techniques and leave with a print of their plate. Come prepared with some image/drawing inspiration. Processes covered will include degreasing a plate, using BIG Ground, etching with ferric chloride, preparing paper and ink, and printing your plate.
