Thursday, 7/30 5:30-8:30PM
Instructor: Tyler Keylon
Join us for an evening of introductory pamphlet and stab stitch bookbinding class taught by Tyler Keylon at Studio Two Three. By the end of the night, students should leave comfortable with the theory, tools, and practice of binding books from single sheets of paper. These techniques have been used to make journals, sketchbooks, and interactive artwork across TIME and SPACE.
Little to no experience required. Everything required is provided, but you’re welcome to bring any tools or paper you prefer to work with.
Tyler Keylon is a painter, printmaker, writer, and bookbinder based in Richmond, Virginia. Themes and subjects range, depending on the mood. When he’s not studying anatomy or moseying through the Mellon Collection at the VMFA, he’s yapping (intentionally) and trying to find joy in anything and everything.
