🍭 2026 Winter Market Artist Agreement 🍭

We are so excited to have you as a vendor at our Winter Market!  Please read the terms & complete this agreement by filling out the form below.

MARKET HOURS & LOCATION: The Winter Market will be held at Studio Two Three (109 W 15th Street) and Shop Two Three (1437 Hull Street) in Richmond’s Manchester neighborhood. The market is open daily 11am-5 pm from Friday, November 27th - Wednesday, December 23rd.

DROP OFF: You can drop your work off at Studio Two Three on Sunday, November 22nd or Monday November 23 between 10am-5pm.

MARKET SET UP

  • You will have the equivalent of 1/2 of a 30”x72” table for setup.

  • Your table space will be either 30”x36” on a standard folding table, or a cafeteria table with a bench (two tiers measuring approximately 15” deep x 32” wide).

  • Please bring what you need to set up and organize your items (display racks, tablecloths, etc). labeled clearly with your name.

  • We do not have room for large framed items, so please do not bring them.

  • If you are planning to hang apparel on garment racks, please bring a rack; we may not use every rack that is provided, and will store yours until the end of the market if we don't use it for display.

  • You can restock your work throughout the market. We will be keeping an eye on inventory and will reach out to you if we need more inventory throughout the market.

  • It is too busy on weekends for vendors to restock - you can only restock Monday-Friday between 10am-5pm. If you are unable to make it during those hours, we can provide you with a door code to come in before 10am or after 5pm.

We will move items around and curate them to best fit the space, so don’t be surprised if your items move from where you first set them up.

PICK UP: Remaining work and market checks should be picked up between 10am-5pm on Monday, December 28th.

**Please note, this pickup window is firm. Our events space is booked for community events and we cannot store work past the pick up window.

PROMOTION: We will be providing marketing through Studio Two Three’s social media (combined following of 48k+), the Studio Two Three newsletter (audience of 6,300), radio advertising on WNRN and WRIR & event posters.

Please follow the studio and share! We love seeing posts of your work in-progress - tag us @studiotwothree and we will reshare in our stories! We will have posters and handbill-sized flyers on site when you come to drop off your work; please take them and distribute them if you'd like!

PAYMENT TO YOU: Your market check can be picked up on Monday, December 28th between 10am-5pm when you come to pick up your work. Your check will be for your sales total less a 20% commission to Studio Two Three to cover the cost of credit card processing, staffing the market, administration of sales tax and issuing payments. We are handling sales tax collection and payment so you don’t need to worry about paying Virginia State sales tax on your sales.

YOUR WORK MUST BE LABELED!!!
Every single item must have a label with the price of the item and your name OR business (please pick one and be consistent across all items). WE CANNOT SELL UNLABELED ITEMS - we will pull your items from the market and ask you to come pick them up if they are not priced and labeled.

PACKAGING, PRICING & PRESENTING YOU WORK

  • Folks tend to sell more when their work is attractively packaged; for instance, plastic sleeves for prints, display cards/boxes for jewelry, clean and consistent labelling.

  • Individual items priced over $50 do not sell as quickly

  • That the average item price sold is $15 and people generally purchase a lot of smaller, inexpensive items in a single transaction.

  • Customers also return multiple times over the course of the market, so it's good to restock items when you can. You can come by anytime during the market during open hours to restock your work.

MARKET INVENTORY SHEET

We have over 200 artists participating in the market and we are unable to create an itemized inventory in our point of sale system for every artist. That means we do not capture detailed information on what items have sold on sales receipts. Instead, each vendor is listed in our register as an item by your vendor name with a variable price. At the end of the market, you will receive a check with a memo line that reads, for example:  “Pee Wee Herman - $1000 gross sales less 20% commission.”

We ask that you complete your inventory form as a check against your overall sales at the end of the market. We will not use the form to enter each individual item in our system; it is for you to use to ensure we have paid you correctly for the items you have sold.

If you believe that there is a discrepancy or that you are missing items after you collect your check, please email ashley@studiotwothree.org so we can look into it and make it right.

Download the Winter Market Inventory Template (use this link and make a copy when prompted) and bring a printed copy of your inventory when you drop off your work. We will also have blank inventory sheets for you to fill out onsite when you drop off work if you prefer.

**Please note: We need a new inventory sheet for every time you restock. We will keep all of your inventory sheets together for tracking purposes.
