Come learn to print your own t-shirts! Printing on fabric requires some special techniques. In this class we'll cover everything from burning your screen through heat-setting your printed designs. Come to class with a stash of t-shirts (old/damaged/thrifted/pre-printed welcome!) and leave with a bunch of cool shirts covered in Tank Studio designs, and the confidence and skills to continue on your serigraphic, sartorial journey.
Aaron Tran is an Asian-American artist, printmaker, and painter, as well as the owner of TANK Studio, a small upcycled streetwear clothing brand located in Richmond, VA. He creates original designs and graphics that he screen prints onto thrifted clothing and accessories, as well as quality sourced garments. He regularly has pop-up events in Richmond and has a deep passion for art, community, and the hands-on craft of screen printing. He is eager to share the process of how he prints his shirts by hand and how you can do the same!
